Call for Abstracts

The program committee of GEESD V 2018 invited you to submit an abstract on any of the technical topics listed below.

All abstract submissions were due June 7, 2017.


Abstracts without all the details requested below may not be considered:

  • Abstracts may only be submitted via the online CATALYST Submission System.
    A guide to submitting abstracts through CATALYST.
  • Abstracts are expected to be between 100 to 300 words.
  • Abstracts cannot contain images, tables, or other graphic elements.
  • Authors may select between 2 paper types to indicate the intended format of their final submission:
    • Technical Paper (6-10 pages in length)
    • Case History (12-15 pages in length)
  • Submissions must include the full formal names, credentials, affiliations, contact information and email addresses for all authors.
  • Submit your abstract to one of the following topics:
    1. Induced seismicity
    2. Ground motions and site response
    3. Seismic hazard assessment
    4. Recent advances in in-situ site characterization
    5. Liquefaction: Triggering, consequences, and mitigation
    6. Regional scale assessment of geohazards
    7. Applications of remote sensing
    8. Recent advances in numerical modeling
    9. Recent advances in physical modeling
    10. Laboratory testing
    11. Seismic slope stability and landslides
    12. Other

All abstract submissions were due June 7, 2017.
